Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery offers workshops, weekend tours, school holiday programs, and individual-tailored school programs.

SCHOOL VISITS
School groups are welcome and encouraged to visit the gallery as part of excursions and for other curriculum-based activities. Tours can be individually tailored to suit your needs and are dependent on the exhibition showing at the time of your visit. School tours are usually for one hour and can include an introduction to art galleries, visiting the exhibitions and hands-on activities.

WORKSHOPS
We love sharing our passion for art and passing on the skills of our in-house educators and visiting artists. Workshops are often held in line with touring exhibitions, offering up a variety of mediums and for different skill levels. This includes our regular school holiday workshops for primary school aged children.

TOURS
Get a deeper insight into visiting exhibitions by joining our Gallery Tour Guide for a dedicated tour. These are held only for select exhibitions. Or each Sunday, join our dedicated volunteer guides for a gallery tour, no matter what’s showing. These free tours start at 2pm each Sunday.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM

Every Victorian school holidays we host fun and engaging workshops for primary school aged children. Our in-house art educators deliver a varied program of workshops, sometimes in partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria and sometimes in response to touring exhibitions in the gallery space. Each session is unique and can include sculpture, drawing, artist book making or printmaking. Bookings are essential and there is a small cost for each child. Children whose family has a gallery membership can attend free of charge.
